Where Part 3 of the ISO 26262 standard has dealt with the Concept phase of the “Item’s” development and thus the Functional Safety Requirements derived from the Safety Goals, Part 4 deals with The Development at the System Level. This is where we begin to generate the Technical Safety Requirements giving particular attention to ensuring that they meet the Functional Safety Requirements previously generated.
